Meet Our Volunteers

Allan A. Teske
Allan has many interests and achievements but he is most proud of his three children. He is an avid tango dancer and we are grateful that he shares his expertise with us as a volunteer every Monday evening at the Almagro Tango studio. When he is not dancing the tango, you can find Allan at any number of regattas in his role as a US Sailing National Judge and Judge Instructor Mentor. He has also raced in 61 Mackinac Races, winning six. Allan is an architect by trade and runs his own architectural firm in Chicago. He is also a professional artist and has shown in Chicago, New York, Maryland, Massachusetts and New Jersey. As a contributor to his community, Allan has worked as a young children's gymnastic assistant for the Chicago Park District and as a sailing instructor for the disabled. He also worked on the Beverly Hills Chicago Planning and Development Project.
